Yelp engineers beat NASA in 3D printer space race

In our most ambitious weather balloon launch yet set out to to print the first object on a 3D printer from the stratosphere. Our first launch where we successfully launched a modified Printrbot Simple to the stratosphere was well documented by Mike Senesee from Make. On our second attempt on August 25 2013 we successfully launched and printed a PLA Yelp Printrbot logo at 111,159 feet altitude.
